TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)

The minimum requirement for TEFL teachers is a Bachelor’s degree and TESL/ TEFL certification. These certifications allow teachers to teach English as a foreign language. Those who want to land a teaching job in Thailand can choose to upgrade their certification.

What is the salary for teachers in Thailand?
Teachers enjoy a competitive salary in Thailand. The cost of living is relatively low and with a teacher’s income, it’s not difficult to explore and discover Thailand.

Monthly Salary 15,000 – 30,000THB (approximately $550 – $1200)
Airfare Depends on the school – round trip airfare can be reimbursed upon completion of contract, but usually airfare is not included
Working Hours 35-40 hours/week, 5 days a week
Accommodation $150-$200/month (at teacher’s expense); teachers receive assistance in arranging accommodation
